Stagecoach Yorkshire Industrial Action – from Saturday 27 November

There will be no Stagecoach service buses running during the following dates:

  • Barnsley and Rawmarsh (Rotherham) depots (covering services in Barnsley, Rotherham, Dearne Valley and West Yorkshire): 
    • Saturday 27 November – Friday 3 December 2021
    • Saturday 11 December – Friday 17 December 2021
  • Ecclesfield (Sheffield) and Holbrook (Sheffield) depots (covering most services in Sheffield):
    • Sunday 28 November – Saturday 4 December 2021
    • Sunday 12 December – Saturday 18 December 2021

School Services

Stagecoach provides dedicated school buses to Penistone Grammar School and Outwood Academy at Shafton. We’ve been informed that dedicated buses for these two schools will continue during the industrial action.

All other dedicated school buses provided by other companies to Barnsley’s secondary schools are unaffected as Stagecoach does not provide these services, although they might be busier.

Normal service buses operated by Stagecoach will not run during these dates.

Globe, Watersons, Powells, TM Travel, First and South Pennine services are not affected and will run as normal.

Getting to work and delivering our services

There might be some impact on how you get to and from work and if your family members use buses to get to work, school or college. Your service may need to activate its Business Continuity Plan to ensure you can deliver services.

You can also consider about getting about on your bike, or if you can, walking to work instead. You can find more about active travel on our website.

If you are car-sharing with other people, consider wearing a face-covering when travelling and open windows to let fresh air in where possible.
