Welcome from Lissa Oldcorn

As the Headteacher of Holy Trinity I feel privileged to welcome you to our school. Holy Trinity is unique as a Catholic and Church of England through school with pupils aged from 3 to 16 years old. Our school is housed in a purpose-built building that opened in 2012. The opportunities we can offer our young people are plentiful.

All members of the Holy Trinity community are completely focused on nurturing each individual in order that they reach their full potential. Our ambition is for all our pupils to achieve the highest standards and to develop as independent, aspirational and caring young people.

Our Catholic and Church of England values form our distinctive Christian ethos, and this forms the foundation of everything we do in school. The Catholic Diocese of Hallam and the Anglican Diocese of Leeds work with us in partnership, developing and shaping our school.

Holy Trinity is part of the Hallam Schools’ Partnership Academy Trust.

We have 1120 young people in our school, with 420 in our primary phase and a 730 in secondary. In addition, our nursery accommodates children with 15 or 30 hours of free provision. The nature of our 3 – 16 through-school enables us to offer exciting learning opportunities, giving our primary children access to specialist equipment and resources as well as opportunities to work alongside our secondary students. Being a cross phase school enables us to make transition between Key Stage two and Key Stage three much more effective.

We promote the very best teaching and learning practices and have the highest aspirations for our pupils; celebrating their achievement and recognising their success as often as we can. We strive to create a positive, stimulating environment where everyone is supported, empowered and challenged to achieve their potential.

Thank you for visiting our website and having an interest in the work we are doing with the young people of Barnsley.
