A Word from our Pupils

I am writing this article to show parents and possible future pupils what goes on in Holy Trinity and why it is one of the best schools in Barnsley.

One main reason for it being a great school is the opportunities we get regularly. For example, we have plays, dances, afterschool clubs, competitions, school trips and fun days in school. These are great things for a school to have because it makes the children able to look forward to something other than working in lessons. However, these rewards only go to well behaved students which is a great idea because it reminds kids that if they behave well they will get something for it and if they misbehave they won’t, which most of the time makes them be good.

Another reason it is a great school is the teachers and how well educated they are. This helps students learn easier because their teachers actually know what they are doing. This can really help students understand the work put in front of them. By having a good teacher, if students don’t understand the work, the teachers are very capable of helping you.

The last reason is people you can speak to if you need help with anything. For example, your mental health or if you need to speak about things that are happening at home. There is also a strong rule on no bullying. Anytime there has been bullying the people or person doing it are given serious consequences for what they have done.

Finally, something I think that would help improve this school is a place for kids to go and chat with teachers or friends if feeling low; a place that is comfortable and relaxing.

Overall, my experience at this school is pretty good. I enjoy most days. There are some days I don’t but to no fault of school. They treat every child with respect and gratitude by helping them with what they want to do with their future.
