On the 27th of January, we remember those who lost their lives for simply being themselves. As a school we are praying for those have been affected by the Holocaust and for God to bring his peace to the world. If you wish to join us, here is a prayer for you to use.
We are inviting everyone in our school community to mark this day and join us in praying for all those affected by the Holocaust. There is a national commemorative ceremony streamed online from 6.45pm-8pm.
The UK Ceremony for Holocaust Memorial Day will be streamed here on Wednesday 27 January from 7 – 8pm.
6.45 – 7pm: Light up the darkness photography exhibition
7 – 8pm: UK HMD Ceremony
8pm: Light the darkness
As the Ceremony ends, get ready to Light the Darkness with us. Light a candle at 8pm and safely put it in your window to:
- remember those who were murdered for who they were
- stand against prejudice and hatred today
8.05pm: Share with the nation
Upload a photo of your candle on social media, using the hashtags #HolocaustMemorialDay and #LightTheDarkness.
