Welfare and Advice

Our welfare and advice page has a variety of useful links plus key information to contact us if you need to. There are several charities and other organisations that support school children in Barnsley, including:

  • Barnsley Council
    Offers universal or targeted services for children, young people, and families based on their needs. Parents can self-refer for universal services or to access information and guidance

  • Barnsley Children, Young People and Families Trust
    A partnership between health, social care, education, and other sectors to improve outcomes for children and families.

  • Compass Be mental health support team
    Offers free, confidential support for children, young people, and families in education settings. They provide help and advice for issues related to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

  • Exodus Project
    A charity that works with children and young people in disadvantaged communities to help them avoid destructive lifestyles. They run activity clubs, weekend camps, and visit children at home. Insert link

    A charity that provides English language support to diverse communities.

  • H.O.M.E – Young Peoples Wellbeing Hub – Chilypep
    Is an early support mental health and emotional wellbeing hub for young people in Barnsley aged between 11 and 25 that provides open access, flexible early support in a non-judgemental welcoming space.
