Transition Day FAQ’s

You need to arrive between 8:30 and 8:45am.

You need to go to the main reception entrance and make your way into the performance hall. There will be lots of staff and buddies around to help you.

You can wear your own clothes, you do not have to wear uniform. You will be taking part in physical activity on both days so please make sure you are wearing trainers.

You will be taking part in a variety of activities and lessons.

You can either bring your own lunch, bring money to pay for a school dinner or if you are in Holy Trinity Primary, you will receive your lunch as normal (but in Secondary). If you receive free school meals, a voucher will be provided for you.

You can purchase food at break time, there are pizza’s, toast, bacon sandwiches, waffles, fruit and drinks available.

If you feel unsure about anything throughout the day, you can speak with any member of staff and/or the buddies and befrienders.

School finishes at 3pm and you will leave through the main entrance. Any parents/carers can collect students from outside the main reception.

Students will be allowed to leave at 3pm and can make their own way home. If a parent/carer would like their child to remain in school to be collected, an email to transition@holytrinitybarnsley.org explaining this would be required.
