How can I be sure that staff working with my child are suitably qualified to manage their SENDs effectively?

All staff have the qualifications and legal requirements for working with pupils with SENDs.

There are regular training opportunities for all staff throughout the year to develop further expertise and specialisms such as Autism or Dyslexia.

Some staff are specifically trained in Team teach Emergency Response techniques such as Positive Handling Plan and People Moving People.

We have consulted on arrangements for Fire Evacuation procedures which all staff are aware of. Children with specific needs have a ‘Personal Emergency and Evacuation Plan’ (PEEP). Fire Drills regularly take place.

Some students require specialist staff to help support their social and emotional resilience and Holy Trinity is fortunate in having Specialist TA’s, Learning mentors, Student Support, Pastoral leaders and a Lay Preacher, to support times of crisis.
