Virtual Lourdes Pilgrimage 2020

As some of you will already know, at this point during the school year, Miss. Meehan and our Year 10 pupils are usually counting down the days to depart on the Hallam Youth Pilgrimage to Lourdes. As you can imagine, we are absolutely gutted that we are unable to go this year.

The good news is…Bishop Ralph has invited everyone in the Diocese of Hallam to join him on a virtual pilgrimage to Lourdes, from 27th June to 3rd July 2020. Please see the video below and a copy of his invitation can be found at the bottom of this page.

A website has been created for the virtual pilgrimage, so please do take a look https://www.hallam-lourdes.com/

You will find a copy of the programme below, which indicates whether services will be live streamed from Lourdes on YouTube or Mass may be held in different parishes across the Diocese. You can also find a copy of the programme here https://www.hallam-lourdes.com/programme. You may recognise some of our past pupils on the photo next to the Mass on 30th June, (Mollie, Amy and Dominic).

Throughout the week of the virtual pilgrimage, you can write your own prayer petitions which can be used in liturgies later in the week or you can choose to keep your petition private. A candle will be lit in Lourdes at the end of each day to offer your prayers/petitions to Our Lady of Lourdes. You can submit your prayer petitions here https://www.hallam-lourdes.com/petitions

It won’t be the same as actually being in Lourdes, but hopefully you can gain an insight to the pilgrimage and see why Lourdes is such a special place to us at Holy Trinity and why we are so keen to keep going back with our wonderful pupils.
