Dear Parents / Carers

The post Ofsted meeting was held on Tuesday 17th January. It was great to see so many of you at the meeting and I would like to thank you for the huge number of questions you sent in advance of the meeting.

We were unable to answer all the questions submitted in advance due to the questions that were asked at the meeting. As promised in my previous letter I will share with you our responses to the questions by Friday 27th January.

Our Chair of Governors, Mr Bob Krause, has tendered his resignation with immediate effect. I would like to thank Mr Krause for many years of dedicated service to St Michaels’ and to Holy Trinity.

We currently have 2 parent governor vacancies. Please click on the links below which has further information about the election process and a nomination form.

It was made very clear at the meeting that we need to improve our systems of communication so that we can speedily respond to your concerns. We are reviewing our protocols and will send them to you as soon as they are finalised.

Year 11

Some parents asked for a summary of Year 11 revision sessions. Please find below the sessions which are currently running from 3.00 to 4.00pm

Tuesday          RE  & Biology

Wednesday    RE,  French, Chemistry & Physics

Thursday       Maths  &  Science (Drop-in)

I realise that there are some clashes but this is unavoidable. We are planning a programme to support Year 11 in their final preparations for the GCSE exams, so some of these will change as more sessions are added. We will send details of the programme at a later date.

Please note that the homework timetable is on the school website. Teachers are setting homework in line with the timetable. For secondary pupils, you can also check your child’s planner.

Yours sincerely

Mrs A Dickson
